Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about TV mounting, home automation, structured cabling, home-office setup, Wi-Fi, and warranties.

TV Mounting

How much does TV mounting cost?

Pricing depends on TV size, wall type, mount type, and how much cable concealment you want. Request a quote and we'll give you a clear price before any work begins.

Can you hide the wires?

Yes — using either surface raceway or code-compliant in-wall cable concealment, depending on your wall and preference.

Can you mount a TV over a fireplace?

Often, yes — but not every fireplace surround can safely support a mount, and heat exposure matters. We assess the surface and placement before confirming.

Can you install a soundbar at the same appointment?

Yes, soundbar mounting and connection can typically be done in the same visit as your TV mount.

Home Automation

What smart-home devices can you install?

Smart thermostats, lighting controls, smart locks, video doorbells, leak/water sensors, plugs, switches, and contact/motion sensors, configured to work together from one app or voice assistant.

Can you integrate with devices I already own?

Often, yes. We review compatibility before installing anything and are upfront if a device won't integrate reliably with the rest of your system.

Do you monitor my home or respond to alerts?

No — we install and configure the devices and your automations/alerts, but we don't provide alarm monitoring, continuous monitoring, or emergency response services.

What's the difference between home automation and structured cabling?

Home automation is the devices and control systems (lighting, locks, thermostats, sensors). Structured cabling is the physical network infrastructure that connects everything. A stable network — wired or Wi-Fi — is what makes automation reliable.

Structured Cabling

Do you install structured cabling for businesses?

Yes — Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A structured cabling, data drops, racks, and network infrastructure for offices, retail, and other commercial spaces, plus support for general contractors and subcontract partners.

What's the warranty on cabling work?

Structured cabling installed and terminated by us includes a 5-year workmanship warranty. Manufacturer warranties apply to equipment.

Do you provide testing and documentation?

Yes — labeling, testing, and documentation of what was installed, so your team or IT provider has a clear record of the network infrastructure.

Home Office Setup

What does a home office setup appointment include?

Monitor and docking-station setup, printer and peripheral connection, video-call camera/microphone/lighting positioning, wired Ethernet where practical, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, and clean cable routing.

Do you provide ongoing IT support?

This is a one-time setup service, not ongoing managed IT or data recovery. If something changes later, you're welcome to request another visit.

Home Wi-Fi & Networking

Can you diagnose Wi-Fi dead zones?

Yes. We run a coverage assessment through your home, identify weak spots, and recommend the right fix — router/access-point placement, mesh Wi-Fi, or a wired backhaul.

Will my Wi-Fi match my internet plan's advertised speed everywhere in my house?

No installer can guarantee your ISP's advertised speed at every point in your home — walls, distance, and interference all play a role. We measure real speeds at the locations that matter and recommend what will actually improve them.

Do you install mesh Wi-Fi and wired access points?

Yes, including setup and node placement for whole-home coverage, plus wired access points where a wired backhaul improves reliability.

Getting Started

How do I get a quote?

Fill out the contact form on our website or call (615) 761-9960. We'll ask about your project and provide a clear quote before any work begins.

What information do you need for a quote?

Your location, what you're trying to accomplish, and your general timeline. We'll ask follow-up questions to confirm scope.

Warranty & Support

What does the workmanship warranty cover?

Residential installations include a 1-year workmanship warranty covering installation workmanship, mounting, cable terminations, device setup, and configuration performed by us. Structured cabling includes a 5-year workmanship warranty.

What isn't covered by the warranty?

Customer damage, power surges, internet provider issues, manufacturer defects, water damage, acts of nature, and manufacturer software updates aren't covered. Manufacturer warranties apply to equipment and hardware.

Do you warranty customer-supplied equipment?

We warranty our installation and configuration work, not the equipment itself. Manufacturer warranties apply to equipment you supply.

Can you troubleshoot a system someone else installed?

Yes — we troubleshoot smart-home, networking, and cabling systems regardless of who installed them. Contact us for pricing on service calls.
